I’ve watched Hoyt grow over the past couple of years as I’ve advocated for him. Often times, as we watch a child wait and wait for a family, we see that spark leave them. But not Hoyt! That same sweet, yet orney smile still adorns his handsome little face. Now six, Hoyt is better than ever. Hoyt previously had surgery for his anal atresia as well as the removal of an extra digit on his right hand. His file also stated that he is diagnosed with hypospadias and penile scrotal transposition. A medical update as been requested to determine it Hoyt has had any additional surgeries to date. Developmental records from when he was as toddler describe a little boy who was on target developmentally. Not much has changed, as his care takers are always talking about how clever and curios he is today. In a foster home since 2014, older video shows a little boy who is full of energy, excitement and that was attached to his foster family. Hoyt used to accompany his foster mom to work and help her in the store. I bet that gregarious personality and sweet smile brightened the customer’s day.
