Grant is an adorable 3 year old boy who has Down Syndrome. Grant has been receiving rehabilitation services for his language, and it has been noted that he has greatly improved in his self-care ability and cognitive development. He is able to feed himself, dress himself, and put on his socks and shoes. He has good balance and walks and runs steadily. He is great at following multiple-step directions. He is able to express his needs and say a few simple words, such as “mother”, “grandmother”, and “bye-bye”. He is able to identify toys by their different shapes, and he is able to identify people he is familiar with from strangers. He knows his name and responds when he is called. He is also able to recognize and respond to adult’s different facial expressions. It has been noted that he loves to look at himself in the mirror and make silly faces! Grant loves listening to music and he imitates his caretakers when they dance. He also loves to clap his hands and do somersaults! Grant is super friendly and is nicknamed “Boss” because everybody always wants to play with him! Grant has been described as an overall active and happy kiddo who laughs easily.
