Drew is an adorable 5 year old boy who has postoperative CHD. Drew can walk, run, and climb stairs independently. Drew’s overall development is on track and simiar to his peers. He imitates adults actions and language. Drew is able to express his needs and knows many words. He speaks in full sentences, such as “Mom what are you doing?” He actively seeks information through “how” and “why” questions. His caretakers have noted that he is great at following multiple-step instructions. Drew is in preschool and he performs very well! His teacher stated that he does well on his morning exercises and following her instructions. He is able to identify facial features and can correctly point to their location. Drew is timid around strangers, but he is warm and loving with people he is familiar with. It has been noted that he has made a healthy attachment with one of his caretakers! Drew has been described as an active, kind, obedient boy who has a lot of love to give! He is very social with other kiddos in the orphanage. One thing to know about Drew is that he loves to read books by himself and draw pictures!
