Caroline

Caroline is an adorable one year old girl who has down syndrome.  Caroline can crawl and sit up on her own, and she is working on her walking. When she turned one, she could say a few syllables like, “a, ma, da, and ba”. Currently, she continues to imitate language and can understand simple instructions by adults, such as when they are asking for her toys, food, etc. Though she mostly babbles, she is quite the chatterbox. She can turn pages in a book one-by-one and she frequently points her finger to various objects in the environment. She has a good temperament. Whenever a kid steals her toy, she runs and hides from them and finds another toy to play with instead of crying. She has been described as a quiet, obedient, and extroverted little girl who has a striking smile. Caroline loves to hug and cuddle up with her caregiver! She loves uplifting music and she starts to smile and dance whenever she hears it playing. She also likes to clap her hands, shake her rattles and play with a toy piano and drums. Caroline might be quite the musician someday!
