Adorable. Loves to Eat. Active.
Austin is an adorable 2 year old boy who was born with a finger deformity in both his hands, which he received surgery for. His special need does not seem to impact his ability to use his hands. Austin is still able to pick up items in his hand and use them. For example, he can pick up a pen and scribble and he can bang blocks together. According to his file, he was placed in a foster home in March 2016 and it has been noted that he made a healthy attachment to one of his caretakers. Austin is able to walk and he can express his needs. He imitates the pronunciation of words and is able to say a few simple words, such as aunt, sister, etc. Austin knows his name and responds when people are talking to him. He knows what “ No” means, and he is cooperative when he is told to change clothes. Austin is the happiest when he is eating snacks. When Austin is upset, a hug from his caretaker always makes him feel better! He has been described as an outgoing and tolerant boy who is super sweet and has a positive attitude! Austin is very active and has a fast reaction. His favorite thing to do is to dance or play catch with other kiddos in the orphanage!
